Since the last report submitted to the Senate, CAAS has met one time: October 15,2020. This was the rescheduled meeting from October 8, 2020 due to Hurricane Delta. The minutes from the August meeting were approved. CAAS heard one student appeal. Upon discussion, CAAS members and the college, were able to identify an alternate means of resolving the student’s issue utilizing current practices. As a result, CAAS and the college ultimately agreed that the student appeal was not needed in this case. There were no appeals denied. A discussion was held regarding the various colleges policies handling of requirements for minors and the overall university guidance. The apparent variations between colleges were noted but no recommendations for changes were presented. The next scheduled meeting is for January 7, 2021 at 10 A.M. CAAS meetings are being held virtually through TEAMS.
